കാട്, വംശനാശം സംഭവിക്കുന്ന ജീവിവര്‍ഗ്ഗങ്ങള്‍ മുതലായവയെക്കുറിച്ച് നാം വളരെ ബോധവാന്മാരാണ്. അതേ സമയം, നമ്മിൽ മിക്കവരും നമ്മൾ ജീവിക്കുന്ന നമ്മുടെ ചുറ്റുപാടുകളുടെ പാരിസ്ഥിതിക പ്രാധാന്യത്തെ തിരിച്ചറിയുന്നില്ല. ഇനിയും അവ കാണാന്‍ നാം തുനിയുന്നില്ലെങ്കില്‍, തീർച്ചയായും നമ്മുടെ കാലിനടിയിലെ മണ്ണായിരിക്കും നഷ്ടപ്പെടുക,ഒരു പക്ഷേ നാം തിരിച്ചറിയുക പോലും ചെയ്യാതെ. വടക്കൻ കേരളത്തിലെ കൈപ്പാട് നിലങ്ങളുടെ പാരിസ്ഥിതിക പ്രാധാന്യത്തെക്കുറിച്ച് നമ്മെ ബോധ്യപ്പെടുത്തുന്ന കൈപ്പാട് എന്ന സിനിമ ഈ മുന്നറിയിപ്പാണ് നമുക്ക് നല്‍കുന്നത്.
അവയുടെ സവിശേഷമായ ആവാസവ്യവസ്ഥയും തദ്ദേശീയരായ മനുഷ്യര്‍ക്ക് ആ നിലങ്ങള്‍ എത്രമാത്രം ഉപജീവനത്തിന് ഉപയോഗപ്പെടുന്നു എന്നും ഈ സിനിമ കാട്ടിത്തരുന്നു.

In future , we may face a ‘water world’,due to climate change/ice-melt/sea-level rise when the paddy grown in salty water of backwaters may be source of food. we were observing ‘pokkali’ fields in Edappally on both sides of railway track, but it is encroached by land-mafia and we find residential towers. They are yet to be regularised, as ‘nilam’ is yet to be recognised as ‘kara’ in land-records. One year back we witnessed two such towers demolished in Thevara.
The migratory birds will continue, from Siberia, and dragon flies from African coasts, and they may witness us/ progeny also migrating , looking for arable land/ potable water/ COVID19_free land, for survival. ‘ Water-world’ cinema may be a ‘lead-kindly-light’ for us also! Will our ‘silent-valley’ arise again. Are we witnessing it in ‘farmers’ everyday?
